Confined Spaces including Gas Test Atmospheres : Central Coast - Wyong and Hunter Valley - Rutherford

​​​​​​​The Enter and Work in Confined Spaces Course is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge required to enter and work in confined spaces. This Course is a basic entry level course for those working in operational roles in confined spaces and includes the use of atmospheric monitoring devices.

Some aspects of the Course include:

  • Identifying areas that constitute confined spaces
  • Complying with the entry and exit procedures
  • Types of air contaminants and toxic gases
  • Identifying equipment types, characteristics, technical capabilities and limitations
  • Complying with site isolation and site control
  • Locations of safety data sheets (SDS) information
  • Using atmospheric monitoring devices prior


PREREQUISITE FOR COURSE

  • Reasonable level of fitness and agility,
  • Ability to understand English

  • Nationally recognised “Statement of Attainment” RIIWHS202E & MSMWHS217


DURATION

  • 1 day – approximately 6-7 hours - depending on how many in the group
